Glossary of Keno TermsBelow you'll discover some popular terms that are often time associated and used with both keno and bingo. If you're into either of these two games then be sure to skim over the terms and definitions we've outlined for you in this section of our portal. Call – The numbers drawn in each game. Catch – If a number marked on your Keno card has been drawn, you have caught the number. Combination Way Ticket – A Keno card in that contains a number of different ways to bet on groups of numbers. This type of ticket allows the player to spread out their money. Conditioning – The rules and terms of the wagers. The conditions are typically written on the ticket. Draw – The collective 20 numbers that are drawn during each Keno game. Edge Ticket – A Keno ticket where the 32 outer edge numbers of the card are marked. Enhanced Payoff – When playing a combination of games on one card, the payoff is larger than it would have been if the games were played on individual tickets. High End Ticket – Compared to a regular ticket, a High End Ticket will pay more for getting a high number of spots (and less for catching a fewer number of spots). Hit – To catch a number. Inside Ticket – A Keno ticket that has already been completed and turned into the house. Keno Board – The electronic board that shows the drawn or winning Keno numbers. Keno Lounge – The area in the casino where the Keno games are played. Keno Runner –The casino employee who transports the players bets to the Keno writer and delivers the payouts to the winning players. Number Pool –The numbers 1 to 80 from which keno players chose to play. Spot – The individual numbers printed on the Keno tickets from which the players select to play. The number of “spots” also refers to the number of numbers marked off or chosen by the player. Straight Keno – The most basic of Keno games. Straightr Keno is played by marking off an amount of numbers on a Keno ticket. Touch Wand – The tool used to select Keno numbers in some Keno games. Way Ticket – A type of Keno ticket that clusters numbers together in order to create a number of different ways to win. |
